The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.”

― Paulo Coelho, Veronika Decides to Die
Patience when teased is often transformed into rage.😡
A patient man is one who can put up with himself.🤔
Patience, money and time bring all things to past.😎
Of all the things that tax a man’s patience, there’s nothing to compare with a stuck zipper.😬
I’ve been going to this doctors office for a couple of years now for my back issues. I’m on my second doctor in this office and he is worse at making patients wait then the first one. I had to wait about an hour after my scheduled time to see him on this visit and the last visit was about two hours behind schedule. To say I’m a patient person is about as far from the truth as you can get.
To alleviate my impatience I bring my iPad, my patience as I call it, with me. I bring this mini brain to occupy the time. I also make sure that I have nothing scheduled after the doctors visit because I know it’s going to run over. If I had to be somewhere immediately following the doctor’s visit it would drive me crazy.
Patience never being one of my virtues, knowing and understanding that these delays are inevitable has been a key to my sanity. That and knowing I have to have something to occupy my mind while I wait. Just a fact. Since I know the delays are inevitable, the burden shifts to me to be patient. Not believing it’s right changes nothing. So I sit and I wait as patiently as an inpatient person can. 😉

How about Paradigm, Quay, Queue, Anesthetize, Hierarchy, Remuneration or Kibosh
I was feeling pretty good until I looked up the correct pronunciations…😳

What is time? The most wasted commodity that humans have. We sleep in. Play on Facebook. Check email. Yet we never have time to do the important things in life.
We can’t go to Tommy’s ballgame or Kathy’s recital because we’re working because we waste so much of our most precious commodity. We miss deadlines and burn the candle at both ends yet here we are looking at our phones checking out that new post or updating our status. Why?
Our priorities are upside down

Choices, Consequences and Freedom

[Picture curtesy Henry Cloud]

When the consequences of your decisions are clear then you have the freedom to decide your path. The path to good or bad because you know the repercussions before hand. That freedom to decide is what separates this country from so many others. That freedom to decide is what separates you from so many others. You get to decide your future. In your job, education, marriage, in your life. These boundaries free us. Enjoy your freedoms to the fullest and make the best decision for you…

You must stretch yourself in order to grow. Step outside that beautiful box you have built around yourself and do something out of the ordinary. Ride the roller coaster. Take a college course. Talk to your neighbor. Something. Anything. Grow!

I love the way these various versions of 1Peter 4:8 tell us how we should love even through the trials.

1Peter 4:8
Above all continue to love one another fervently, for love throws a veil over a multitude of faults.—-
And before everything, have a severe love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.—-
Above all, maintain an intense love for each other, since love covers a multitude of sins.—-
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.—-
